Lorri Ryan Oliver

Lorri Ryan Oliver has spent most of her adult life feeding people — first as a restaurant industry professional, and later as the owner of a small restaurant in a small Connecticut town that somehow became the center of a very large world.

She came to writing the way most people come to the things that matter — sideways, late, and wondering why it took so long.

The Something In The Water series grew from a simple observation: that women of a certain age have stories that are funny and warm and occasionally breathtaking, and that nobody had been telling them quite right.

She is doing her best to fix that.

Lorri lives in the Litchfield Hills area of Connecticut, where the autumn lasts exactly as long as it should and the coffee is always on and the stories never run out.
